Our newest yard. Generations of local roots.
Our founder, Jody Salyards, was raised in New Market, and his family has called Shenandoah County home for several hundred years. Opening our Woodstock yard is a commitment to the place and people who helped shape Recycle Management. From household scrap to farm and business loads, serving our neighbors is at the heart of why we are here. Our team is ready to help with a smile.
Serving communities across Shenandoah County
From Strasburg, Toms Brook and Maurertown to Woodstock, Edinburg, Mount Jackson and New Market, we welcome our Shenandoah County neighbors. We also serve customers from Fort Valley, Quicksburg, Basye, Orkney Springs and the farms and smaller communities in between.
Whether you are bringing in household scrap, clearing a farm or arranging a container for business metal, call the Woodstock team to plan your visit or local roll-off service.
Equipped to handle your scrap
Multiple platform scales serve non-ferrous metal customers. Wheel loaders, forklifts and truck docks support daily yard operations alongside our 34-ton material handler. We also use handheld radiation detection equipment during material inspections.
Roll-off containers for scrap metal
Make room for a farm cleanup, a shop cleanout or an ongoing stream of business scrap. Our Woodstock team can help arrange roll-off container service for your metal and discuss the right container for your property and load.
Explore our metal dumpster service, then call the yard to arrange local service.
Propane sales close to home
Stop at our Woodstock location for propane sales. We work to offer the lowest propane prices in the communities we serve. Call the yard for today’s price and refill information.
Vehicle recycling & depollution
We buy scrap vehicles and have on-site vehicle depollution systems, including refrigerant (Freon) removal equipment. These systems help prepare vehicles for recycling by removing fluids and refrigerants.
Shearing, baling & material handling
Our yard is equipped for shearing and baling scrap metal, with forklifts and truck docks to support material handling. From a pickup load to business scrap, call us to plan unloading and discuss oversized items.
Supporting 4-H, FFA & our neighbors
We support local 4-H and FFA programs and purchase at local fairs. Local 4-H and FFA students are welcome to use our scales free of charge; call the Woodstock team to coordinate your visit. Supporting the next generation of our agricultural community is a commitment we share across Recycle Management’s locations.
This support is part of our commitment to communities across Recycle Management’s locations. Contact your nearest public yard to arrange a student scale visit.
A zero-discharge facility for Shenandoah County
We are proud that our Woodstock facility captures 100% of stormwater on site. Its zero-discharge stormwater system was designed to handle the largest flood events experienced in Shenandoah County. Investing in how we manage water is part of our commitment to the community we call home.
Scrap metal we buy
Individuals are the foundation of our business. We buy ferrous and non-ferrous scrap from individuals, farms, businesses and municipalities. Our material guide covers:
- Steel and iron, including sheet metal, pipe, structural steel and machinery scrap.
- Copper, insulated wire, brass and plumbing metals.
- Aluminum, stainless steel and other non-ferrous metals.
- Metal appliances, equipment and automotive scrap, subject to preparation and acceptance requirements.
Read the complete material and preparation guide. Materials accepted may vary by location; call the Woodstock yard to confirm your specific load. Final grading and acceptance are determined after inspection.
Before you load up
A property cleanout may combine metal shelving, fixtures, outdoor equipment and automotive parts. Review the material categories before loading and identify items that are sealed, unusually large or may contain fluids. Calling Woodstock with those details helps you confirm which items the location can accept.
We do not publish buying prices on this website. Material grade, preparation, market conditions, location and quantity can affect value. Call 540-732-9253 for current information about your material.
